HOW IT WORKS
Sunlight heats up air circulating through the panels, which must be mounted directly on the south side of the building. A thermostatically controlled fan blows the warmed air into the desired room through insulated ductwork. Because it requires sunlight to make heat, it is meant to supplement the existing space heating, not replace it. A system our size can offset 25 – 40% of a modest sized building’s annual heating requirements.
